Introduction
SNAP-8 20MG is a unique neuropeptide that has one overriding purpose – expression lines. This product has been tested in terms of reducing wrinkles. Scientists have proven that when used regularly, it reduces skin folds by up to 60%. Known and used for a long time in creams and cosmetic cheeses.Acetyl-octapetide-1, also known as SNAP-8, or acetyl-octapetide-3, is a synthetic peptide compound that is an extended chain of amino acids known in cosmetology, Argineline, i.e. a neuropeptide that inhibits muscle contractions. The mechanism of action is based on the local reduction of the potential of acetylcholine, an excitatory neurotransmitter, the concentration of which in the intersynaptic spaces remains crucial for the occurrence of muscle contraction. The effect of this is the multiple, local reduction of the contractile capacity of the muscles, thus relaxing them and, following it, smoothing out expression lines.

Removing wrinkles by reducing muscle contractility is nothing new. A similar mechanism has been used for years in treatments with botulinum toxin, more widely known as botox. This method, apart from the painful, frequent injections in the places affected by wrinkles, also carried the risk of permanent damage and poisoning the body.

SNAP-8 is scientifically known as acetyl glutamyl heptapeptide-1 and is an anti-wrinkle peptide. The compound is made up of eight amino acids and is based on previous generation anti-wrinkle peptides made up of six amino acids. Human trials with this class of peptide showed that it effectively reduced the number of wrinkles and that the depth of wrinkles were also significantly reduced. In animal studies, improvements in the structure of the skin were found and the amount of type 1 collagen fibres in the skin were shown to increase. Collagen fibres make up around three quarters of the dry mass of the skin and are an important structural component of the skin. The fibres are responsible for giving the skin its structure, firmness and elasticity and a loss in collagen is associated with a reduction in skin firmness and smoothness. SNAP-8 also reduces wrinkles on the face by relaxing facial muscles, particularly around the forehead and eyes. This happens since SNAP-8 is a peptide mimic of naturally occurring SNAP-25 protein, which is involved in stimulating muscle contraction. SNAP-8 blocks natural SNAP-25 to destabilise the complex and prevent muscle contraction. These properties mean that SNAP-8 is a safer, less expensive and milder alternative to Botox since it is able to target wrinkle formation caused my muscle contraction through an alternative mechanism. SNAP-8 is the newest generation anti-wrinkle peptide in its class and is the most efficient at reducing wrinkles and fine lines.

SNAP-8 is commonly added to cosmetics formulations and moisturisers at low concentrations and has been reviewed as an excellent localised treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes and forehead. SNAP-8 does not require injection to exert its effects and can be reconstituted in BAC water and added to cosmetic moisturisers. The addition of SNAP-8 should increase the final peptide amount in the cream, gel or lotion to around 10%, since 10% SNAP-8 is the most effective concentration for treating wrinkles and improving the appearance of the skin.

Studies have concluded that SNAP-8 is safe and that it produces no significant adverse effects as a topical treatment.
